Upon reflection, I have also noticed there has been no mention of the new site design. Well basically it’s finished now apart from the introduction of a twitter feed and possibly a last.fm feed if I can work out how to do it. As you may / may not have noticed displaying feeds isn’t my strong point.

There isn’t really much else for me to say, or there probably is but I’m too tired to say. I haven’t the most sleep fulfilled weekend this weekend, it’s totalled a massive 12 hours spread over 3 days so I’m not the most lively person going.

OH something I haven’t talked about is my music, seeing as you haven’t been updated for the last month I feel it my duty to tell you what I’ve been listening to for the last month. Now last.fm don’t seem to have a monthly view and seeing as I’m being a bit lazy, I’m going to go with Example being my most played artist for the last month. If you want to keep your hip-hop British I suggest you go check him out over on his myspace. He has a few albums and in his first album “we didn’t invent the remix” he uses samples from various songs as backing tracks to his catchy & witty lyrics.

Nothing much has happened since my last blog rant, but I’ve decided to keep you all up to date with the happenings of my life.

Yesterday I went to Cardiff and watched Adulthood, the sequel to Kidulthood. It’s the sort of film where you need to have seen the first film to understand what is happening in the second and this was perfectly illustrated by my friend Damien who had no idea what Kidulthood was, let alone what it was about. This ignorance meant that when he left the cinema he had no clue what the film was about, but somehow he enjoyed it as did I. I thought the film was better than Kidulthood in every way and I still think that Kidulthood is a good film so kudos to Noel Clarke on this one.

The other film I watched this weekend was Kung Fu Panda, which isn’t out until 4th July 2008, but when it does come out, I’d recommend you go and see it. The story is slightly predictable but Dreamworks have made the film in such a way that it’s bearable.  I think that the quality of the animation was great and some of the one liners made me giggle like a child such as; “His enemies went blind from overexposure to pure awesomeness!”

My main musical discovery for the weekend was a band called Mystery Jets. They’ve become pretty well known now and Iain has linked to a few of their youtube videos in the past and I’ve been meaning to download their new album for a while. So, on Friday night I downloaded the album “Twenty One” and I really liked it. I was immediately hooked by the first song “Hideaway” and although I listened to the whole album I haven’t progressed past this first song, I’m even listening to it as I write this!

Moving onto the second album of the weekend which is the album soon to be released by Cute Is What We Aim For, “Rotation”. Iain told me about this being on libble and immediately I downloaded it. I thought that I might like this album more than the previous with the first song I heard off it, “Doctor” sticking in my head for a while. This wasn’t to be. After listening to the whole album, “Doctor” remains my favourite song by them but the only song I like from the album so overall, pretty disappointed with this one.

To round off my story, I made a new last.fm account the other day, I found that my last one didn’t really reflect my listening habits very well anymore and even though you can delete all the tracks that have been listened to, I didn’t really like my account name either. Anyway, I’m going back to the construction of my new site, I should have it up in the next few days.

According to last.fm, this week I have listened to the Blackout 142 times a statistic I’m slightly suspicious of because I don’t even remember listening to them this week and if I had listened to them that much then I’m pretty sure I would’ve remembered.

In other news, today I spent a lesson with full time A-level students in Bridgend college, due to my lack of knowledge for my Law paper this Friday. Most people of Bridgend insult the students that attend the college for their alleged lack of intelligence but today it wasn’t only the students. I needed to find a parking space in college today and to do so I needed the barriers opened because I haven’t been given a card to open the barrier.

Aside from not having this card, the main mistake I made was asking for this barrier to be opened whilst the college was in receipt of something being contained in a Days rental van. The man behind the counter that controls the barriers amongst other things clearly saw me pull up in my car and immediately asked if I would sign a paper for him, something to do with this delivery. It took me 5 minutes to convince this man I was only student and upon brandishing my Law textbook in his face he realised his mistake and opened the barrier. After this experience I now understand why students would have the supposed lower intelligence, the environment in which they learn in.

Before anything is said, yes I am using a wordpress theme (shocking I know) but I am currently developing the new design of my website and once that’s complete I’ll be updating the design to fit the website design.

Now that my A-level’s are over (apart from an hour of Law on Friday) I have decided that I’m going to revamp everything although I’m too lazy to design my whole site using a wordpress theme and for that reason I have ended up blogging on here.

Anyway I’m on the usual social networking sites but seem to only use Facebook these days so it’s the only link you’ll get. Add me if you haven’t already and then stalk me in your spare time.
